Dowin is dependable and reasonable. He gave professional inputs about the colour scheme as well as the design of the kitchen. The kitchen is modern, clear and easy to maintain. He also takes our feedback into consideration after work started. He was able to provide useful inputs and considerations into our needs and willing to challenge us rather than agreeing to out request. His workers have done a great job and starting work immediately. The renovation was able to complete slightly earlier than he projected. His workers also clean up the place well and willing to help move some of the bulky items. That saved us a lot of work and time for us. However, we decided to trust our instinct and go with Sandy! And for that.. Its was the BEST decision we made! We were able to trust the entire renovation process in Sandy’s good hands! She would give prompt updates on the renovation milestones. She was super responsive throughout the entire process as well. She is always patient in answering all our enquiries! We recently completed a full renovation of our apartment with De Style Interior and would like to share our positive experience. At the start of our renovation we shortlisted and met with 5 ID companies, and sought their initial ideas for our redesign. Our apartment is an older one with a slightly quirky design, and only De Style - and the ID who worked with us, Andy Ng - came up with practical solutions that helped us to really make the most of our apartment’s footprint. Andy took our prior (previously renovated 20 years ago) floor plan and updated and reconfigured our entrance and kitchen area in a way that gave us both more usable space and more storage. Andy’s redesign solution was deceptively simple and yet brilliant. Despite its apparent obviousness in hindsight, neither my wife nor I, nor four other professional designers, had thought of it. Having lived in the apartment for a few months now after the renovation, the new layout works really well. The same can be said of the redesign idea that Andy had for our common bathroom, another seemingly “simple” idea - which included adding a shower area where there hadn’t been one before - that no other designer was able to come up with. We were really impressed by his ideas. Not only were Andy’s design ideas very good, the execution of the renovation was also handled expertly. The work was done to a very high standard, and essentially on time and on budget. In fact the main reasons we ran over time and over budget - and we did, both, to some degree - were due to my wife and I deciding we wanted to change materials or finishes in a couple of areas. Renovations can be stressful for homeowners because there are so many decisions that need to be made in so many areas where, typically, we have no prior experience - designs, colours, materials, tiles, door knobs, switches, etc - and that can potentially lead to delays, arguments, and a range of challenges. Andy helped us to navigate this process with a clear and level head at all times, and was an stress-absorber when we needed it most.
